Our work with public gardens.

Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens
A vibrant rebrand and a mobile-first website built around ticket sales, memberships, donations, and event registrations for a century-old institution preparing for a major capital expansion.

San Antonio Botanical Garden
A commemorative 45th anniversary logo, supporting collateral, and brand elements for one of Texas’s most beloved cultural and horticultural destinations, used as the primary identity throughout Fiesta Week and the anniversary year.

The North Carolina Arboretum
A 40th anniversary identity system designed to flex across marketing, events, and merchandise for an arboretum serving more than 17,000 member households across the Southern Appalachian region.

The Dawes Arboretum
A centennial logo, messaging framework, and launch campaign honoring 100 years of conservation across 2,000-plus acres and more than 110,000 annual visitors.
For years, 19 Ideas has partnered with cultural institutions, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to help clarify their value, deepen audience connection, and create brands built for long-term impact.
From museums and conservancies to public gardens and community organizations, our work is rooted in thoughtful strategy, audience understanding, and creative designed to move institutions forward.
Proud Member of the American Public Gardens Association.
In 2022, our team partnered with the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens on a full rebrand and website redesign for one of our region’s most beloved cultural institutions. Both projects were recognized with national awards — a PRSA Silver Excalibur for the rebrand and a Web Excellence Award for the website — and the work earned us a slot on the stage at the American Public Gardens Association Annual Conference in Boston.
The conversations that followed brought the San Antonio Botanical Garden into our orbit. The next year, we returned to APGA. Then came partnerships with The Dawes Arboretum and The North Carolina Arboretum. Year over year, our relationships at APGA deepen with new conversations, shared work, and strengthened relationships.
Our work with public gardens is part of a broader commitment to supporting cultural institutions that strengthen communities, preserve history, and create meaningful public experiences.
A practice built on partnership.

We listen and learn before we recommend.
With every engagement, we start with questions about your audiences, the visitor experience you are building, and the milestones your organization is preparing to reach.
Understand
From stakeholder interviews, audience research, brand audits, and analytics deep-dives, we fully understand your organization, its unique value proposition, your market, and your industry.
Align
We establish the verbal brand — mission, vision, values, voice, and messaging — before any visual system gets built. Alignment here saves rounds of revisions everywhere else.
Build
We create brand systems, websites, and campaigns designed to flex. Modular, accessible, and built for in-house teams to manage and grow without an agency on retainer for every update.
Support
We develop training, governance, and a relationship that keeps going long after launch. Many of our partnerships continue year after year, across campaigns and new phases of business growth.

Integrated services. Single-minded focus.
Integrated means understanding how the brand, digital, campaigns, content, and communications work together to support an organization’s larger goals. It’s how we build thoughtful partnerships grounded in strategy, collaboration, and work designed to create lasting impact.
Because the work matters, the approach should too.
We believe your marketing deserves more than a checklist. It deserves a partner who shows up with intention, asks the right questions, and considers the long-term impact of each recommendation.
“Work with purpose” is more than our mantra. It shapes how we build our partnerships, organize projects, and evaluate the impact of the work for our clients before it goes out the door.
Behind every campaign, brand, and experience is a larger mission — and our role is helping that mission connect meaningfully with the communities it exists to serve.
When your work is a beloved garden, an exhibition, a conservancy, or preserving history for future generations, the work has to be right. We treat it that way.
