Job Purpose:
This position provides critical support and work product for digital marketing deliverables to 19 Ideas and our clients. The role involves strategy, development and implementation of digital marketing campaigns and ongoing evaluation, optimization and reporting for those campaigns. Under the supervision of the Digital Experience Director, the Digital Marketing Associate will ensure that digital marketing strategies, campaigns and reports are completed within established timeframes and meet the requirements and specifications defined in the scope of each project.
Essential Functions
The Digital Marketing Associate will:
- Assist in planning and implementing digital strategies for 19 Ideas and its clients, and provide strategic recommendations to ensure alignment with objectives and brand guidelines.
- Implement and monitor digital marketing, organic search (SEO), paid search (SEM/PPC), email, display, and paid social media strategies, programs and campaigns for 19 Ideas and its clients.
- Conduct keyword research for digital marketing campaigns and website content using tools such as Advanced Web Ranking, SEMrush, and Google Keyword Planner.
- Configure Google Tag Manager for event and conversion tracking. Work with Website Developers to provide and test Google Analytics functionality on client websites.
- Collaborate with the Creative, Communication, and other internal teams to inform creative strategy and develop optimized landing pages, digital ads, and other project deliverables for digital campaigns.
- Help guide and evaluate social media, SEO/SEM copy for websites, digital ads, presentations and strategy documents.
- Use analytics tools to measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns; assess and refine strategies to meet ROI and KPI goals; and analyze customer experiences across channels to optimize conversion points and user funnels.
- Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests.
- Stay current on industry, market, cultural, and social trends, as well as best practices in social media, online marketing, tracking, and measurement, to inform strategies for 19 Ideas and its clients.
- Gather and organize client and competitive information as needed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to inform the 19 Ideas’ marketing strategy.
- Work with all internal departments on the successful implementation of digital marketing, social media, web and mobile app development projects.
- Interface with third party vendors on behalf of 19 Ideas and its clients, where needed.
- Prepare plans, reports and presentations for clients; contribute in client meetings where those deliverables are presented.
- Support new business development for 19 Ideas by contributing to RFP/RFQ responses, proposals, and pitch participation, as well as cultivating and strengthening the existing client portfolio.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure that the proposed digital marketing campaigns, strategies and concepts are executed within client-specified timeframes and budgets.
- Contribute to weekly workflow updates, both internally and client-facing, as well as attend internal status meetings and discuss project progress.
- Actively participate and make meaningful contributions in client meetings, strategy discussions and company meetings.
- Liaise, communicate and manage effectively between employees and company leadership, including staying on top of emails and other internal communication and project management channels.
- Utilize and update project management tools and software daily.
- Serve as a resource for scoping and defining digital marketing work.
- Work with project management team to determine and establish deadlines and prioritization of development work, as well as meet deadlines and hours caps.
- Foster and maintain a positive and healthy working relationship with team members and clients.
Qualifications
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a digital marketing role. Preference will be given to candidates with advertising agency experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing or business is preferred.
- A proven track record in developing and executing successful organic and paid social media strategies as well as SEO/SEM, email, and display advertising campaigns. This includes analyzing and reporting with Google Analytics and other self-serve platforms and reporting tools.
- A strong understanding and demonstrated use of top social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and TikTok.
- Knowledge of inbound marketing and marketing automation techniques is preferred.
- Proficient with project management and hours-tracking systems.
- Preference will be given to candidates with certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Hootsuite Social Media Marketing, HubSpot, and/or Meta Blueprint.
- Effective management of simultaneous projects that vary in size and scope while meeting deadlines and staying on budget. Candidates should demonstrate workflow efficiency and process management capabilities.
