New Website for Trocaire College

19 Ideas recently launched one of the most sophisticated websites to date, and we couldn’t be more proud of it. Trocaire College was in need of an updated web presence that spoke to an audience of both prospective students and alumni. Below are some examples of the business challenges Trocaire faced and the solutions we developed to overcome them.
Content Organization
With a content footprint of close to 300 pages, the new Trocaire website needed to present the content in a way that makes sense for current, prospective, and alumni students. Our design team worked closely with Trocaire to develop two clearly defined sitemaps, one for the main Trocaire site and one for MyTrocaire – a portal for current students. The final sitemaps presented users with an easy-to-follow navigation path and access to information that is easily digestible.
Landing Pages
Trocaire was looking to promote two key programs as part of the new website launch. With that in mind, the design team created a unique and impactful landing page theme that is being used to promote its nursing and technology programs. These landing pages provide all the information a prospective student would need in one place so the pages can effectively be used for marketing efforts across all channels.
Global Information Management
With a website build of this nature, it called for a sophisticated and well-thought-out management solution. We built the backend with easy site management in mind for Trocaire staff and faculty. One of the challenges faced by Trocaire was managing information in several places on the old site. A good portion of critical student information lived in multiple places throughout the site and managing this information on the old site was a tedious process. This prompted us to build the admin area in a smart and intuitive way whereby updating information in one place would automatically update information globally on the site.
The collaborative work environment at 19 Ideas stood true during the phases of conception, development, and review. Every single department and marketing discipline was applied to this project, and the final product certainly speaks for itself.
Big thanks to the entire Trocaire team who contributed their time and efforts to help us build an amazing site that both faculty/staff and students can be proud of.
