Hannah brings a unique perspective to her design work, uniting a fine arts background with a strong commitment to marketing strategy. Her conceptual work and execution seamlessly span across tactics — she has created inspired projects and full campaigns for her clients in both the digital and traditional realms. Hannah won’t miss an opportunity to espouse the virtues of typography, which she stands by as the key to taking a good piece of work to a great place. She comes to Buffalo from China, by way of Chicago, where her family emigrated to when she was 5 years old. During her time in Chicago, Hannah earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis on Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Chicago and spent her post-graduate time working at design studios in River North and downtown.
Outside of the office, you can find Hannah at the Buffalo Clayart Center throwing things (into the kiln), with dinnerware, pots and sculptures as just some of the many creations within her hands-on wheelhouse. And, when not in the studio, Hannah’s hands still remain busy co-publishing a self-created zine, Two Fold, which is aimed on showcasing the creative work of Buffalo-based artists, writers and designers.
Even from there, Hannah’s interests have a hand in the love of plants and flowers. She is the proud Plant Mom to a number of potted friends, each finding space in her own handmade ceramic creations. When her day dreams aren’t focused on visual storytelling, you can find her aspiring to one day turn her own home into a greenhouse.
