FOREST IN THE HILLS, WESTEROS – Former Kingsguard to Joffrey Baratheon Sandor Clegane – aka The Hound – was found alive and working alongside a small group of followers of The Faith of the Seven led by Septon Ray. The discovery was made by three members of Beric Dondarrion’s Brotherhood Without Banners, who killed the group save for Clegane later that day. Clegane had been missing for more than two years and was nursed back to health by Ray and his sept after being severely wounded and left for dead by Brienne of Tarth. At the time of his supposed death, the Hound was last seen traveling through the Vale with who was thought to be Arya Stark. The current whereabouts of Clegane are unknown at this point but he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Further north, Sansa Stark, former Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch Jon Snow and Ser Davos Seaworth – The Onion Knight – have been making the rounds to the Great Houses of the North to obtain additional troops for their anticipated siege on Winterfell. Despite many attempts, sources indicate the group has had little success. House Mormont – a vassal House that pledged fealty to House Stark hundreds of years ago– is reported to be the only known supporting House at this point. Lady of Bear Island Lyanna Mormont backed Stark and Snow with 62 fighting men to Snow’s army of wildlings, while House Glover refused any contribution in the fight to reclaim Winterfell.
After being removed from the Kingsguard by King Tommen Baratheon, Ser Jaime Lannister – Kingslayer – arrived at Riverrun with troops of the crown to reclaim the castle, which was overtaken by Brynden Tully – The Blackfish – from Lord Walder Frey – Lord of the Crossing, Riverrun and Paramount of the Trident – castle which. Tully, who had narrowly escaped the Red Wedding, has seized his ancestral home of Rivverun in hopes to re-establish House Tully as the ruler over the Riverlands. Initially, Frey’s sons unsuccessfully attempted to reclaim the castle from the Blackfish by using Tully’s imprisoned nephew, Ser Edmure Tully, as a hostage. Lannister came face to face with the Blackfish for the first time in history to discuss Tully’s peaceful exit from Riverrun, but attempts at a peaceful parting was quickly shut down.
Upon the urging of Queen Margeary, Olenna Tyrell – The Queen of Thorns – is set to return to her homeland of Highgarden. Tyrell’s attempt to rescue her granddaughter and grandson Loras Tyrell failed when The Faith of the Seven’s High Sparrow announced a new alliance between the Crown and the Faith during what was intended to be the queen’s walk of atonement.
In other news, a girl was found wandering the streets of Braavos with multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. Reports indicate that the girl was unknown to everyone and was only referred to as “no one.” Many sources state she was seen paying for safe passage to Westeros only moments before suffering her injuries. The assailant still remains at large.
