Netflix released a new app logo, moving away from their iconic “N” to a trendier and much more innovative ribbon. We like the new direction, it feels more like old Hollywood glamor with a lot of dramatic depth in the design.
The mark launched Monday on the company’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages, while the old logo remains on their streaming services. We’ll be interested to see if this is just the first wave in a complete makeover for Netflix or if the new mark will be limited to social media and app icons only. Other companies, including Coke, have attempted to use multiple logos in the past without much success.
