QUEEN TARGARYEN ARRIVES IN WINTERFELL
Forges in Winterfell commence mass production of weapons
Ships of the Iron Fleet seen leaving King’s Landing
Ser Bronn of the Blackwater partakes in transaction
Lord Ned Umber found dead
WINTERFELL, WESTEROS – Today, Daenearys Targaryen – Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains – and her envoy arrived in Winterfell. Having left Dragonstone, Targaryen arrived in the North alongside Jon Snow, former King of the North who pledged fealty to Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister and Lord Varys, to begin concepting a strategy with which to defeat the Night King.
Reports indicate that forges in Winterfell have been kept ablaze at all hours with blacksmiths present at all times. Weapons produced are believed to be made of Dragonglass, one of the few known materials volatile to wights and White Walkers. Targaryen’s two remaining dragons, Drogon and Rhaegal were seen coasting in the sky, being ridden by the Mother of Dragons and Snow respectfully. Sources believe this to be possible due to swirling rumors that Jon Snow is the true-born heir to the Iron Throne as Aegon Targaryen, Sixth of His Name, son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark.
In King’s Landing, ships from the Iron Fleet were seen leaving the Capital, setting sail to what is believed to be the Iron Islands. Witnesses indicate this may be a sign of an uprising as Euron Greyjoy – King of the Iron Islands, King of Salt and Rock, Son of the Sea Wind, Lord Reaper of Pyke – was not present on the ships. Greyjoy was last seen in the Red Keep alongside Cersei Lannister – Cersei of the House Lannister, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms – for an evening meeting where he presented her the Golden Company, one of Essos’ largest sellsword companies. Matters between the two continued for some time but ultimately finished later that night in private quarters. Comment from their subjects is pending.
Rumors also indicate movement of Ser Bronn of the Blackwater. Late in the evening, the mercenary received a visit from Qyburn – former maester and Hand of the Queen. While motives are unknown, sources indicate a transaction between Bronn and Queen Lannister had been initiated due to the recent fallout between she and her two brothers, both charged with treason. Most recently, sightings of Ser Jamie Lannister – the Kingslayer – have been reported in Winterfell.
At Last Hearth, the castle formerly the seat of House Umber, Lord Ned Umber was found murdered by a group exploring the abandoned castle led by Beric Dondarrion – Lord of Blackhaven, the Lightning Lord. The late-adolescent Lord was presumed dead on site, surrounded by a multitude of severed human appendages in a circle-like pattern. Ravens sent from Last Heart also report that Umber appeared to reanimate despite being dead, signaling the close proximity between the Army of the Night and Winterfell.
